Welcome to 6th Class!
We have had a very busy couple of months as you will see!
We have done some fantastic art - we did self portraits, crests and some really fun Autumn art.
We have just completed our 7 week Cycle First Course. Some of us learned to cycle but most importantly we learned all about road safety. During the final lesson, we all went out and cycled on the road.
We are doing dance every Wednesday in the hall, it is so much fun!
We had a great 'Maths Week' last week. We did lots of games and had giant Jenga, Connect 4, Xs and Os and Snakes and Ladders in the hall. The highlight was when we got to go to 1st class and do a presentation for them and help them with tangrams. Ms. Keane put together a presentation using pictures from around the school and first class had to talk about the shapes, colours, numbers, time, angles etc. that they saw. We all had great fun.
We have been doing 'Walk a daily mile' as a whole school initiative. 5th and 6th class got to go to Cabinteely and compete in an Athletics competition. It was fantastic. Good Shepherd National school were proudly represented by our classes and we did super in the race.
