Mainstream education in the Good Shepherd National School is based on a co-educational, vertical model. The school currently comprises of seven mainstream classes, ranging from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. Our priority is giving your child the best primary education possible. Each child is encouraged to flourish socially, academically and physically. Our highly dedicated teachers also actively strive to develop every pupil’s moral, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Our teachers are highly motivated and continuously upskill through regular engagement in continuing professional development. Across all classes, teachers use teaching and learning methodologies ranging from one-to-one, peer mentoring and group work across all subject areas. We actively encourage discovery learning, team teaching, and the use of concrete materials and Information Technology to bring lessons to life.
